Woven Wool

FEATURES & BENEFITS: Durable construction; lightweight, often reversible; rougher hand and natural earthen charm.

WHERE TO USE: Suitable for dining rooms, living rooms and master bedrooms.

HOW IT'S MADE: Woven on vertical looms by passing weft yarns back and forth through the warp, just like our cotton woven and polypropylene flat weave rugs.

CARE:
•  Regular vacuuming and the occasional gentle shake will keep these rugs looking their best.
•  For bigger messes, we recommend professional cleaning only.

Hand-Knotted Wool

FEATURES & BENEFITS: Durable construction; plush feel; eye-catching, unusual weave. Because the weave lies in a single direction and is not apt to pull, hand-knotted rugs can appear lighter from one angle than the other - an optical illusion that is part of their appeal.

WHERE TO USE: Area rugs that are perfect for "center stage" rooms like the living room, dining room, or master bedroom.

HOW IT'S MADE: Only the most skilled artisans can craft these rugs. A vertical loom is used, with the artisan painstakingly hand-tying individual knots around every warp yarn. The more knots per inch, the greater the durability.

CARE:
•  Please note: It is common for wool rugs to shed, as they are created from natural fibers that form long strands of material that are then hand-knotted to create delightfully soft and durable area rugs. Due to the sheared pile, lose fibers will eventually work their way to the surface. If your wool area rug starts shedding, this is normal. Just trim any tufts of wool that appear with a sharp pair of scissors; do not pull the fibers.
•  Regular vacuuming and the occasional gentle shake will keep these rugs looking their best.
•  For bigger messes, we recommend professional cleaning only.
•  Ensure to use a high-quality rug pad to help protect the rug’s fibers from excessive wear as well as from dirt and moisture.
•  Rake, brush or groom your rug weekly.
•  Vacuum your rug at least once or twice a week. Use a vacuum with gentle suction—avoid heavy-duty vacuums or those with beater bars, as these can damage the construction. When vacuuming, work with the pile, not against it.
•  Trim any tufts of wool that appear with a sharp pair of scissors; do not pull the fibers.
•  Wipe your hand over the surface to collect any loose fibers.
•  Rotate your carpet every few months to ensure even wear.

Kilim Wool

FEATURES & BENEFITS: Durable construction; lightweight; often reversible; eye-catching patterns.

WHERE TO USE: A natural choice for any room that could use a personality perk-me-up.

HOW IT'S MADE: Kilims are weft-created patterns that are always geometric. Color changes in the pattern are crafted by knotting or interweaving. Knotting creates an "open" weave that gives more definition and dimension to the pattern; interweaving creates a softer pattern with intermingled colors.

CARE:
•  Regular vacuuming and the occasional gentle shake will keep these rugs looking their best.
•  For bigger messes, we recommend professional cleaning only.

Micro-Hooked Wool

FEATURES & BENEFITS: Durable construction; low maintenance; soft underfoot; eye-catching designs; stylish and sophisticated; timeless appeal.

WHERE TO USE: Perfect for high-traffic areas like the living room, kids' rooms, staircases, and the hallway.

HOW IT'S MADE: Three to four plies of smaller wool yarn are used in each hook and hand-guided through a canvas tracing pattern with a hooking gun. The small, tight hooks create a low-profile rug. Cotton canvas back, attached with latex. With this technique, the artisans are able to get very detailed with designs.

CARE:
•  Regular vacuuming, a gentle shake, and occasional grooming will keep these rugs looking their best.
•  As hooked rugs settle, a stray loop of yarn may pop up. This is perfectly normal. Do not pull the loop; simply trim it with scissors.
•  For bigger messes, we recommend professional cleaning only.

Hooked Wool

FEATURES & BENEFITS: Durable construction; low maintenance; cushy, high profile; soft underfoot; stylish and sophisticated; timeless appeal.

WHERE TO USE: Perfect for high-traffic areas like the master bedroom, family room, or hallway.

HOW IT'S MADE: Four to five piles of wool yarn are used in large hooks to create these high-profile rugs. Cotton canvas back, attached with latex.

Tufted Wool

FEATURES & BENEFITS: Durable construction, unlikely to pull; thick profile with full, lush feel; comfortable and soft underfoot.

WHERE TO USE: Perfect for living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, and more.

HOW IT'S MADE: Wool yarns are hand-hooked with a hooking gun to create the rug design, then sheared to create the pile. Cotton canvas back, attached with latex.

CARE:
•   It is common for tufted rugs to shed due to their hand sheared pile. With new use, lose fibers will eventually work their way to the surface so frequent vacuuming is recommended. High traffic may cause a stray yarn to pop up, simply trim with a sharp pair of scissors, do not pull the yarns.
•  Regular vacuuming, a gentle shake, and occasional grooming will keep these rugs looking their best.
•  Vacuuming should take care of any stray fibers or fuzzy spots that may appear in the first few weeks of use.
•  As tufted rugs settle, a stray loop of yarn may pop up. This is perfectly normal. Do not pull the loop; simply trim it with scissors.
•  For bigger messes, we recommend professional cleaning only.

Hand-Knotted Wool/Viscose

FEATURES & BENEFITS: Durable construction; plush feel; eye-catching, unusual weave. Because the weave lies in a single direction and is not apt to pull, hand-knotted rugs can appear lighter from one angle than the other - an optical illusion that is part of their appeal. Viscose rugs offer the same feel underfoot as silk rugs.

WHERE TO USE: Suitable for low-traffic, gently used rooms only, such as the guest bedroom. Not suitable for homes with children or pets.

HOW IT'S MADE: Only the most skilled artisans can craft these rugs. A vertical loom is used, with the artisan painstakingly hand-tying individual knots around every warp yarn. The more knots per inch, the greater the durability.

CARE:
•  Vacuum regularly on low/gentle setting, or shake gently to remove dirt.
•  Do not expose to moisture of any kind; water can create permanent staining.
•  For bigger messes, we recommend professional cleaning only.

Wool/Jute Woven Blend

FEATURES & BENEFITS: Enhanced texture; eye-catching designs.

WHERE TO USE: Best suited for low-traffic, gently used rooms only. Not suitable for homes with children or pets.

HOW IT'S MADE: Thick and thin multi-hued yarns are woven to create a uniquely textured effect.

CARE:
•  Recommended for indoor and enclosed, covered-porch use only.
•  Regular vacuuming, rotation, and the occasional gentle shake will keep these rugs looking their best.
•  When vacuuming, always use the standard head; never use the rotating brush.
•  Remove dry spots by scraping carefully from the outer edges toward the middle of the spot.
•  Avoid exposure to moisture of any kind, as this may cause permanent staining.
•  For bigger messes, we recommend professional cleaning only.
•  Flammable; do not place near a source of ignition.

Wool Loom Knotted

FEATURES & BENEFITS: Eye-catching design, soft low pile.

WHERE TO USE: Low-traffic areas and barefoot areas of the home.

HOW IT'S MADE: Using a loom-knotted handloom, the weaver ties individual knots into the foundation of the rug making the pile which is then sheared to help create the pattern.

CARE:
•  Regular vacuuming and the occasional gentle shake will keep these rugs looking their best.
•  For bigger messes, we recommend professional cleaning only.
